My name is Takia Lee I am 17 years old and I'm currently attending Curie High school as a senior. I currently work at Starbucks as barista (my short term goal) .The pictures on my vision board/blog layout symbolize the lifestyles I dream to have one day when my profession takes offs. I dream to become a successful social psychologist and change the world with my research. I dream to change the lives of others and myself and that is the reasons I named my blog "Footprint" . I want to marked the world before I leave.I wish to change people's lives . I wish also for myself to be happy and wealthy in the future. I am just climbing steps in life right now but I am very determined that I will reach my goals. The career I will be writing about is a social psychologist. A social psychologist is to study a person's reaction, thoughts and behavior in the presence of others and the cause behind it. Here I will discuss History and background of my career: Social psychology is important because it's the mixture of sociology and psychology .Social psychology informs us the causes of people's behavior in the presence of others and why? Norman Triplett found social psychology in 1898. Triplett was a research psychologist at Indiana university Requirements to obtain this career In order for me to become a social psychologist I must first earn my bachelor degree in general psychology .Then I will go to graduate school to earn my master's then doctorate of Philosophy degree. Then I will have to do a two years internships at a university institute I will be performing my research at, under supervision of a license professional.Then pass the board exam. After that depending on my state just valid case to study on board .Some college that offer this type of career : Stanford University , Tulane University,University of California -Berkeley ,and University of Wisconsin etc. Job position description My responsibility are to observe people in public places and study their reactions to things and come up with hypothesis on why they react the way they did and why? Then come up with a experiments proving my hypothesis or whether to just convert it into a theory.After my hypothesis are proven I will come up with solutions to help put a stop to that issues through experiments. I will be working with the government at an university . I will also have my focus on juvenile detention centers and foster children . The average salary is $100,000. Job reflection and outlook: Places that offer this position for this career type is Northwestern University. This career will help benefit society because I will come up with solutions on getting rid of negative activity amongst society by getting through to the psychological disfunction of individuals behaviors and their attitudes towards certain a things . I will work with teens because they will become the new generations of adults that will be the "future,future" I want to see the change transfer from old generation to new generations .
